Android Devices Will Get the Same 3D Sensors as in Apple’s Devices

According to Lumentum forecasts, most of the Android-powered devices will get Apple-like 3D sensing technology in the nearest future. The company has made a name for itself as the world’s biggest provider of optical communication solutions.

Company’s experts predict all new Android devices to be released featuring a brand new facial recognition technology used in some of the Apple’ devices. Android users are very likely to get new functionality despite the fact Apple is expecting sales decrease at the beginning of 2019.

The news might appear to be a great relief for Lumentum, as most of the company’s projects in terms or smartphones mainly rely on iOS devices. Lumentum is looking for some more flexible market solution, as Apple’s sales in China are about to slow down due to the commercial and geopolitical situation between the two countries.

Samsung users will be able to try the new 3D sensor technology after the release of the company’s most anticipated S10 flagship. At the same time, other handset manufacturers will have this functionality. We should particularly consider Honor V20 that is about to be launched by Huawei.
