Galaxy M20 Is Ready to Fight Back Xiaomi in the Budget Segment

07.02.2019

Samsung has launched its Galaxy M10 and M20 sales in India yesterday. The new handsets seem to be the only way to take the company’s leading positions back on the Indian market.

The South Korean manufacturer has lost its market shares in the previous year. The Chinese manufacturer Xaomi, which took the lead back in 2018 with 28% of market shares compared to 24% of Samsung shares, dethroned the Korean manufacturer.

Xiaomi unexpectedly found itself as the dominating force on the Indian phone market introducing several budget phone lineups. Samsung could not put up with such state of things. As the competition grows, the company decided to bring back its leading positions with the help of Galaxy M20 accompanied by M10 handset. Both smartphones were titled “Indian-first” handsets.

The main mission was to provide a phone packed with baseline features at affordable prices. It seems like, Samsung managed to work it out. The M20 handset comes with the 6.3-inch Infinity-V screen equipped with a selfie sensor. Well-rounded corners and rear side panel create an overall good-looking design.

Galaxy M20 has a 13-MP dual sports rear camera powered by a wide-angle lens with 5MP. The camera delivers plenty of different filters and settings out of the box. It is pretty easy to fine-tune in order to benefit from high-quality photos on the go. 8-MP front camera works pretty good in terms of selfies.

As a result, Galaxy M20 looks like a reasonable step of Samsung to put up with growing competition in the face of Xiaomi.
