Samsung Galaxy Alpha (SM-G850K) Firmware Overview
What is the latest SM-G850K firmware?
G850KKTU2CVG1, released August 18, 2022 with Android 5.0.2. It is a feature update on bootloader binary 2. The archive holds 20 official builds across 1 region (CSC). Each one is the full stock ROM (flash file) for Odin, not an OTA patch.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Alpha still getting updates?
Most likely not: there has been no new firmware since August 2022, so Android 5.0.2 is the last version this model got. The final builds below are still the best choice for a clean reinstall.
Which Android versions did it get?
The SM-G850K builds in the archive run Android 4.4.4 to 5.0.2. The earliest build we have for each version:
- Android 5.0.2: G850KKTU2COD4 (Apr 2015), 12 builds in total
- Android 4.4.4: G850KKTU2BNJ5 (Oct 2014), 8 builds in total
Can I downgrade the SM-G850K firmware?
Only to builds with the same bootloader binary (the Bit column) or higher. All decodable builds in the archive share binary 2:
- Binary 2 — since Sep 2014
