Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G (SM-G988U) Firmware Overview
What is the latest SM-G988U firmware?
G988USQSDHYG2, released July 31, 2025 with Android 13. It is a security update on bootloader binary 13. The archive holds 20 official builds across 7 regions (CSC). Each one is the full stock ROM (flash file) for Odin, not an OTA patch.
Is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G still getting updates?
Most likely not: there has been no new firmware since July 2025, so Android 13 is the last version this model got. The final builds below are still the best choice for a clean reinstall.
Can I downgrade the SM-G988U firmware?
Only to builds with the same bootloader binary (the Bit column) or higher. In the archive the binary of this model rose from 11 to 13:
- Binary 13 — since Jul 2025
- Binary 12 — since Dec 2024
- Binary 11 — since Oct 2024
A phone already on binary 13 rejects builds with a lower binary in Odin ("SW REV CHECK FAIL"), so it can go back to an earlier Android version only if that version has a binary 13 build. How to read a build number.
